ePermitting
ePermitting moves permit applications online, with built-in review and approval workflows for staff. Because it is connected to Land Management, applications, reviews and approvals stay tied to the property record without re-entry.
What it does
- Online permit applications for citizens
- Review and approval workflows for staff
- Applications connected to Land Management
- Permit records tied to the property
Works with
ePermitting connects to Land Management, Mapping, 311 and Financial.
Key capabilities
- Online application forms for building, development and other permit types, with document and drawing upload
- Online fee payment at submission, posted to Financial
- Staff review and approval workflows that route applications through planning, building and other departments
- Status visibility for applicants, so residents and contractors can track progress without phoning the office
- Conditions, comments and revision requests recorded against the application
- Issued permits written straight to the property record in Land Management
How it connects
ePermitting is the public front door to Land Management: an online application becomes a permit file on the property without re-entry, the parcel is confirmed against Mapping, and 311 enquiries can point residents to it. Application fees post to Financial at submission, and once issued, the permit and its inspections live on the same property record staff already use, so the online channel and the back office are the same system.
Built for Canadian municipalities
Permit types, fees and review steps follow Canadian planning and building-code practice and the local bylaws each municipality administers. Applicant data is handled under PIPEDA and provincial privacy law, and the system is built, supported and hosted under Canadian jurisdiction, keeping permitting records sovereign.
Permitting stays connected to your land records in one Canadian-built platform.
