PROCOM Data and the WHEY Group are committed to respecting the personal privacy of people who visit our websites.  This section summarizes the website privacy policy and practices of the PROCOM Data and its associated companies. 
PROCOM Data only collects identifiable information that is specifically and voluntarily provided by a visitor to our site.  A visitor may choose to provide information to register for certain areas of the site, or order a publication.  When a visitor provides this type of information to us, PROCOM Data uses it solely for the purposes for which it was provided.  Our policy is not to share personally identifiable information with third parties, unless required by law, or unless explicitly requested by a visitor.  We recognize that your information is valuable and take all reasonable measures to protect your information while it is in our care. 

PROCOM Data may use session cookies to improve the overall site experience, however these are not used to track individuals visitors to our site.  Cookies also enable us to track how visitors use our website so that we can improve navigation and user satisfaction.  You can turn off cookies in your web browser without any resulting negative impacts to website performance access to available information.  Without cookies however, online transactions including visitor registration will not be available. 

PROCOM Data only collects personally identifiable information that is specifically and voluntarily provided by visitors to the PROCOM Data website.  PROCOM Data receives limited identifiable information such as name, title, company address, e-mail address, telephone numbers, and fax numbers from website visitors.  Typically, identifying information is collected to:

  • Register for certain areas of the site
  • Inquire for further information
  • Distribute requested publications

PROCOM Data collects the minimum information necessary to complete a visitor’s request.  Where non-mandatory information is sought by PROCOM Data, the website visitor will be notified at the point of collection.
Visitors are able to send e-mail through the website.  All visitor e-mail messages originating from the PROCOM Data website will contain the user’s screen name and e-mail address, as well as any other information that the visitor chooses to include in the message. 
PROCOM Data suggests that visitors to the website do not provide sensitive information that may include:  race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or other similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health, or criminal record. 

A user may choose to provide personally identifiable information for the following purposes:

  • Order publications
  • Participate in “join our mailing list” initiatives that may include subscribing to regularly distributed publications
  • Participate in bulletin boards, discussion or message forums
  • Request further information about PROCOM Data services

Information collected via the PROCOM Data website is only used for the intended purpose stated at the time that the information is collected.  This data is not shared with other entities for secondary or unrelated purposes, or shared with a third party unless otherwise disclosed at the point of collection or required by law.  If there is an instance where information will be shared, the visitor will be asked for permission beforehand. 

It is PROCOM Data’s policy to only disclose information to third parties under the following circumstances:

  • As required by law through subpoena, search warrant or other legal processes
  • When explicitly requested by a visitor
  • When required to deliver publications of reference materials requested by a visitor

The PROCOM Data website does not collect or compile personally identifiable information for dissemination or sale to outside parties for consumer marketing purposes, or host mailings on behalf of third parties. 

There are several instances throughout the PROCOM Data website that may link to external websites falling outside of the control of PROCOM Data and its privacy practices.  When linking to these external websites, PROCOM Data’s privacy policies no longer apply.  It is strongly encourages that visitors review privacy policies of any website that they view before disclosing any personally identifiable information. 

Some information that PROCOM Data receives from website visitors is not retained.  Personally identifiable information about visitors that is collected will only be kept as long as the information is required to completely service the contact request or until a user requests that PROCOM Data deletes that information.  This includes information collected for registered access to parts of the PROCOM Data website, mailing list information, discussion posts and e-mail.

Visitors to the PROCOM Data website are not required to register to gain access to specific information and areas of the website.  As the PROCOM Data website expands to improve the overall website experience and add additional services, we may require visitors to register to order to obtain a user-id and password for authentication and secure access to these services.  These services may include secure access to certain business confidential or proprietary information on premium PROCOM Data websites.

Each visitor has the right of access to personal data they have submitted through the website of PROCOM Data.
User updates of information should be handled by going back through any registration process.  Inquiries about the accuracy of identifiable information previously submitted to PROCOM Data through its website, or requests to have outdated information removed should be directed to: [email protected]
PROCOM Data is committed to providing reasonable and practical access to visitors to allow them the opportunity to identify and correct any inaccuracies.  When requested and practical, PROCOM Data will delete identifiable information from current operational systems. 
When personally identifiable information is obtained, PROCOM Data assumes responsibility for keeping an accurate record of the information once a visitor has submitted and verified it.  PROCOM Data assumes no responsibility for verifying and maintaining the ongoing accuracy of the content of personal information collected from the website.  When practically possible, PROCOM Data will make appropriate corrections in order to update inaccurate information from information provided by an authenticated user. 

Through PROCOM Data’s Internet Service Provider, generally accepted standards of technology and operational security have been implemented in order to protect personally identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction.  Only authorized PROCOM Data personnel are provided access to personally identifiable information collected from the website, and these employees have agreed to ensure confidentiality of this information.  At this time PROCOM Data does not collect information such as credit card numbers, however if at any time PROCOM Data implements online services requiring the collection of such information, appropriate data protection technologies will be implemented at that time. 

PROCOM Data understands the importance of protecting children’s’ privacy especially in an online environment.  The PROCOM Data website covered under this privacy statement is not intentionally designed for or directed at children 13 years or age or younger.  PROCOM Data does not knowingly collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13. 

PROCOM Data reserves the right to modify or amend this privacy statement at any time.  The effective date will be displayed at the beginning of this statement.
